1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to PopularPolls, operated by Meghashyam Bhandary in Karnataka, India. It covers visitors, poll creators, voters, commenters, people who add options, and people who submit feedback.
2. Information we collect
- Account information provided through sign-in, including a stable account identifier, display name, and email address.
- Poll questions, descriptions, options, custom links, settings, and uploaded images.
- Ballots, rankings, tier assignments, submission times, and the account identifier used to prevent duplicate voting.
- Comments, user-added options, and the display name attached to them.
- Feedback messages, page references, and generated support reference numbers.
- Basic technical, security, and operational logs needed to run and protect the service.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and display polls, count one response per account, show saved votes and profile activity, calculate aggregate results, host images, attribute comments, process deletion and editing permissions, answer feedback, prevent abuse, secure the service, and comply with law. We do not sell personal data.
4. What other users can see
People with access to a poll may see its creator name, question, description, options, images, aggregate results, user-added options, and comments with author display names. Individual ballots are shown to the account that submitted them and are used in aggregate results. Your email address and internal account identifier are not displayed on poll pages.
5. Service providers
We use infrastructure and authentication providers to host the application, database, images, and signed-in sessions. They process information only as needed to provide their services, protect the platform, and meet legal obligations. If sharing features send an image or link to another app, that transfer occurs only when you choose the destination through your device.
6. Storage and deletion
Polls, images, votes, and comments remain stored while the poll exists. A creator’s deletion of a poll permanently removes its related options, ballots, and comments from active storage. Limited security, legal, or backup records may remain for a reasonable period where necessary. Feedback records may be retained to track and resolve requests.
7. Security
We use account-based access checks, unguessable identifiers, server-side authorization, and platform security controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please report suspected unauthorized access or exposed personal information through the Feedback page.
8. Cookies and device storage
Essential authentication technologies are used to keep you signed in. A device-local voting identifier may also be used to support ballot continuity and migrate older device votes to your signed-in account. PopularPolls does not use advertising cookies.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal data we hold, request correction or deletion, object to a use, or raise a complaint. We may need to verify your identity and consider the rights of other poll participants before fulfilling a request.
10. Contact
Submit privacy, deletion, safety, or content concerns through the Feedback page. Choose the closest category and include the poll link when relevant. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information.
